• I was fortunate to join an 8-day adventure sailing with Patrik in a group of five novice sailors without any prior exposure to sailing. We sailed to beautiful remote parts of Desolation Sound in British Columbia. Patrik was extremely proficient at managing the entire trip by himself without any external aid, striking the perfect balance between safety and adventure, finding an exciting route for our trip, and introducing us to the elements of sailing. Naturally some of us felt challenged by the new experience just before setting out for the trip, but it took only a few hours of Patrik's calm leadership to make us perfectly comfortable in the boat and its surroundings (including wakeboarding provided via our dingy raft). Feeling safe at all times, we formed a group of friends who two years later stay in touch and meet a few times a year. Patrik is a great skipper, instructor, manager and friend. • I just recently finished my RYA Day Skipper practical with Patrik and I have to say it was a pretty amazing experience. I’ve had many teachers during my life and I can honestly say that Patrik is amongst the very best of them.  It’s one thing to be an expert but entirely another to translate that into great teaching skills. Patrik is one of those rare gems that do both!
  I like being challenged when I’m learning and Patrik has a way of calmly but firmly pushing you to do your best, and also help pick out areas where you need work.  During the 5 day sail we did he covered all the bases and worked us pretty hard without making it feel like work. I don’t think anyone really wants to attain a rating or cert without having earned it and I don’t think that would ever be the case with Patrik. You either know it or you don’t and if you don’t he finds out and explains in a way that makes sense.
  I’m looking forward to doing more training with Patrik in the future and won’t hesitate for a moment to recommend him to others. Top-notch through and through. - Dewey

• When two are doing the same thing, it is not the same. One can tell that sea is your life, you enjoy it with all your being and you are far from being burnt out. • I was quite fortunate to have Patrik as my instructor for both Learn to Sail and Competent Crew. He really made sailing make sense to me, as a total newbie who grew up completely landlocked.  His explanations were clear and easy to understand and he often drew simple diagrams for me to explain the physics of it all. • We sailed with Patrik one week from the south end of Portugal to Gibraltar. It was a strong and adventurous experience. Patrik let us take turns in steering the ship. This was a challenge especially during the night sail in a strong wind across the Strait of Gibraltar. There is something infinitely calming and relaxing about the ocean. • I had the pleasure of having Patrik as my instructor for The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Introduction to Sailing, Competent Crew and Day Skipper courses. I can't imagine having a better instructor.
